Here is a guide on how to remove all your spyware, trojans, adware, BHOs, and other malware using all freeware products.

    1) Clear all your cookies and temp internet files.
    Go to Control Panel->Internet Options.
Next select Delete Files. Wait until it is done and then select Delete Files again but check the unmarked box this time. Next select Delete Cookies.
Next go to Start->Run-> and type in Temp
Delete all the files in this folder.
Now, make sure to show "hidden files and folders".
Go to My Computer->Local C: (or other letter)->Documents and Settings->Youre Name->Local Settings->Temp. Delete everything in here and everything in the Temp Internet Files as well.

    2) Download the following freeware products, from either here at aD or your favorite software site.
    CC Cleaner
    CWShredder
    Ad-Aware 1.06r
    Microsoft Anti-Spyware
    Spybot: Search and Destroy
    Spyware Blaster

    3) Install and UPDATE all these products. Most are updated every 4-5 days so make sure they are up to date.

    4) Now boot to Safe Mode. For windows this means restarting your computer and when it restarts to the opening black screen repeatdly press the F8 key.

    5) Go under your name or under administrator and log in.

    6) Now run the programs in this order and remove any pests found.

    CC Cleaner
    CWShredder (select Scan Only)
Microsoft Anti-Spyware (go to scan options and select Run Full Scan and check off all the boxes)
Ad-Aware (press Scan Now and go to Perform full system scan and check off Search for low risk entries)
    Spybot: S&D
*Note* If Ad-aware or Spybot find anything, remove it and then run Microsoft AntiSpyware again.

    7) Open up Spyware Blaster and enable all protection do avoid future spyware.

8)Boot back to normal mode and enjoy your spyware/adware/malware free computer!

Any questions or comments, feel free to post.

Can't that problem be solved by unchecking the auto complete box under IE, under the windows tab and similarly unchecking the saved form information under firefox/mozilla under the applications tab?.

guys u totally forget Ewido :)

    Ad-Aware 1.06r
    Microsoft Anti-Spyware
    Spybot: Search and Destroy

These 3 find less spyware together than ewido.

@DVDBack23: Sorry, but all spyware etc. won't be removed using your instructions. There are a lot of malware which require some special fixes. And eScan is really good one for removing viruses/trojans.

@aaxxeell: And ewido definitely gets my vote, too :)

    -kemisti-,

Thanks for your feedback. Have you got any other directions to remove spy/mal/adware and maybe tell me some of these bad boys that need special fixes? I will look into Ewido ;)

@DVDBack23: eScan and SpySweeper are also good ones.
Ewido will work 14 days free with guard, but program itself has no restrictions.

There are many bad boys requiring special fixes, here comes only few of them:

    Smithfraud(PSGuard etc.)
    SpyAxe
    Nail or Nail/trojan epolvy
    Vundo/VirtuMundo
    Elitebar a.k.a pokapoka
    look2me a.k.a l2m
    most rootkits (rdriv.sys, wareout etc.)
