    Hey there

Yah. I have been copying dvd's with CloneDVD2 in conjunction with AnyDVD, and DVDSqueeze 3.2 using Nero 6.3 and an LG 8x dvd-writer. I have been compressing 8gb dvd's to 4,7 gb TDK 1-8x media. Both software packages seem to work perfectly until I play the dvd. The movie, menus, etc are fine, no error messages. However the movies at some point, normally newar the end start freezing, sometimes shutting down altogether when my PS2 says cant' read disc. My PC seems to handle it a bit better but still freezes. I have copied a couple of movies successfully though so I am baffled. I am running Windows XP.

    I have tried the following:
    1) Checking enough disk space left
    2) Burning at different speeds
    3) Reinstalling
    4) (no other ideas I am a bit clueless)

Any ideas? Any help would be great as I am tired of flinging useless dvd's out the window

    Thanks
    Chris

i PERSONALLY despise TDK media, my ONLY suggestion to you would be to change to a diff. brand of disc, namely, Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim~ :) if you got what I PERSONALLY consider some crappy media ID coding after running it through the dvdidentifier as zippyd mentioned, if it starts with a "TTxxx" (where xxx are letters and numbers to identify if it's dvd-r or dvd+r format and the rated speed), then DEFINITELY switch media brands to save yourself future issues :)

also, make sure your firmware is up to date for your particular LG drive and you COULD update your nero to 6.6.0.18 as that is the most recent~ :) (in Nero 6 series of course)

    docTY~ good luck

Try resetting your target size in Shrink to 4300 you may be burning to near the edge of the disk. If the freeze is at the end of the disk this can be because of an edge problem.
