Why won't my copies play on my Xbox ? It is two years old. My dad's Xbox is one year old and they play on his. Is there anything I can change so that they will play on my Xbox ?
are you talking about copied DVD movies? Do you have your Xbox modded? If so you need a DVD Player APP installed on the Xbox. Xbox's can be picky. Just cause your dad's plays burnt DVD's dosent mean yours will play the same backup DVD's. Maybe your Xbox dosent like the media that the backups are burnt to that play on your dad's.

Sorry, no my Xbox is not modded. Neither is my dads. I do have the gadget to play movies with. I kinda thought it might just be that mine is a little more finicky than my dads.
Funny how xboxs are like this (picky). I have gen 1 xbox that can play copies (all types) and this was before I ever modded it. I have a co-worker who owns a newer one and it won't play copied movies.
I've got the first generation xbox. I seems to play -R media better than +R. Slowing your burns down to 4X will help too. Good Luck Spacedust
