Mother Board Sound

    I bought a new sond card and need to install it ,however I do not Know how to disable the sound that came with motherboard.
    How can I disable the motherboard sound?

    Your motherboard manual should explain how to override.

    Each one has its methods.

    You should be able to uninstall the drivers in your device manager>shut down the PC>unplug it>install the card>plug in the PC and power it up. Windows should recognize it and you can install all the drivers from the CD that came with the card if needed. And it's always good to check the card's website to check for driver updates, because you never know how long that thing has been sitting on the shelves at the store.
