DVD Writer installation help

    Hi,

    Someone please help me.

    I have installed LG GSA 4167B Dvd writer(Secondary Slave). Updated D12 Firmware.

    My dvd writer doesnt recognize any cds or dvds. When i put cd or dvd in tray, the green lights are going for a while then nothing happens.

    I would be grateful,if any help me to solve this problem.

    Check in the device manager and see if the computer recognizes the burner properly. You may need to uninstall the driver, reboot and let windows find it.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.

    I have uninstalled,reboot and reinstalled the driver through device manager. windows find it. Its reads cd/vcd's now,but still it hasnot recognize any DVDs.if you put dvds on tray,it just cant recognize and the writer go dead after few green light bleeps.

    further help needed, please.
