Lately, while using Windows Media Player to play video off the Internet, I have been getting the following message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available."

any ideas on how to correct this. I should add that when I click on an WMP link, the file download box appears rather than simply playing the video clip and after seemingly downloading the video file, the above message appears. I would appreciate any help with this problem.
