    AnyDvd only removes encryption, macrovision, region coding from DVDs. It makes your PC recognise the drives as region free. You need other software to burn with. I.e CloneDvd2 from Slysoft, the same people who make Anydvd. These 2 pieces of software are highly rated by all that have it.

    Well worth the investment I may add!

    Here the link for you;

    Oh, and welcome to Afterdawn!

    Pulsar,

    So If I need to use those other programs, what is AnyDVD doing for me?? Sorry if this seems repetitive...

    Shrink will take away encryption & region coding, but it can have difficulties with the newer forms of encryption. I never had to use decrypter, so I am not really qualified to say as to its benefits, it will rip the files to the hard drive, then you use shrink to compress, then decrypter to burn with.

    I only use Clonedvd2, so I do not need shrink to compress or decrypter (decrypter does not compress) to encode or burn with. Nero recode compresses for the film to make it fit onto a single disc. Many people like recode, but I rarely use it. It is highly rated but it will not remove encryption, so you would need AnyDvd for that.

    You are not been repetitive, there is a lot to learn here! Remember, there are no daft questions, only daft answers, we all have to start somewhere, usually at the beginning.
