Hey,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to record a movie/video from my television onto my computer. My uncle mentioned something about me needing a new card to be able to do this. Can anyone tell me which cables and other needed items I would need to go out and buy?

Thanks in advance

I know not with what weapons WWIII will be fought, but WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones.

I know a great way of recording of the telly and its almost fool proof. BUY A VCR!!!!

What on earth do you want to clog up your HD with crappy TV progs for, use the old VCR!

But if you must then you will need a video capture card that supports S-vid or Coax etc. How much are you wanting to spend? You can go for a top end card like a Pinnacle £500+ or use an ATI All in Wonder from about £180 (9000)to £330 (9700) but for £180 you can buy THREE cheep vcrs from your local supermarket!!

And if your going to spend £500+ why not buy a stand alone DVDR?
