I can copy these, but the dvd can not be read by my dvd player, nor by my dvd recorder.

Both will play on the computer's dvd recorder.

The dual layered disc can not be read. While the 4.7 disc is read, but it showed the whole disc at lightning fast jump speed.

How have you copied these, and what program have you used.

I have backed up all available seasons of the sopranos using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter only, Main movie only with no special features or menus on single layer discs. No probs.

If you are using a double layer to backup to, all you need is DVD Decrypter...rip to HDD in ISO read mode, then select the MDS file created and burn in ISO read mode. You must burn from the MDS file because it contains your layer break info. Burn at no more than 2.4X.

I backed up all 5 Seasons of the Sopranos using DVD Shrink with Deep Analysis and AEC set at Smooth and burned with Decrypter. They all have worked fine and look quite good. What kind of media are you using, what speed did you burn at, and what process did you use to burn them.

I'm hooked on HBO series...Deadwood, Sopranos, Oz. I'm getting uneasy waiting on the Sopranos final season though...I can't wait.

Me either, Sopranos was one of the first things I backed up when I first started using Shrink. Had tried to do them with Xcopy, before I got wisdom, and they just would not come out. Used Shrink and no problems, with speed set at 4x. Since DL's are now coming down in price may redo them to that format.

OMG..deja vu, only I started with DVD Shirnk and had no probs. I backed them up as main movie only because the special features seemed to be the same on each disc of the season. So I usually just did the last disc of each set with the special features and menus, it seems like it had fewer episodes.

Thanks alot guys for the prompt response. I went home and burnt the whole set of them with dvdshrink and decrypter - without any problems.

Amazing what these sharewares can do for you!! Wished I hadn't pay money for the commercial ones... They are quick and fast, but does not do everything.
