Joining AVI files

I have two avi fiels part 1 and part 2 of a movie, AVI Join will not work it says the format cannot be recognised, so is there an alternative?

 

You could try using NeroVisionExpress3, just open and drag AVI files into window. Version available here http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/nero-up.php you will need package 2 only

 

all you really need to do is convert each section of your avi to an mpeg2 compatible format.After you have done that a progam like nero recode will allow you to merge both sections to one file before you continue on with your burning
