My last burn failed with DVD-Shrink burning with Nero and it told me that the encoding was complete and the files can be burned with the proper software. The reason was that my trial version of Nero was over and I had to buy it so I did. However, once inside Nero I found I was able to burn multiple copies straight from the encoded directory that DVD-Shrink made.

Now I want to know how to control what appeared to be a mistake and stop DVD-Shrink after encoding (compressing my DVD). Anyone know how?

After starting DVDShrink, Edit, Preferences, File I/O, Under Burn settings de-select "Enable burning with Nero".

    opposite question...

how do i re-enable shrink. it stops after i back up the files, whereas before it used to automatically burn the disc itself.

    noob wants know why.

Well, if Nero is installed and working correctly, then if the "Enable burning with Nero" option is checked inside of Shrink it should burn with Nero.

If it's checked but still not burning with Nero then I'd uninstall Shrink (leave Nero alone) then re-install Shrink.

Or you could select the movie you want to backup as usual.. and when you click the backup button you get the backup settings window. It should automatically be at the target device settings tab. The settings speak for themselves really.

    Hope that helped :)
