PROBLEMS I NEED EXTREEM HELP ON I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ IT AND TRY TO ANSWER TO IT THANK YOU 1. K i just got the evolution x a few days a go on my dash.b. but know i cant go on live. this one guy told me to change my IP address to DCHP but i want more inputs. so i need to know how to go on xbox live with this new dashboard. this other guy told me that i have to reinstall my original dashboard (the green one) here i will just tell u wat he wrote here it is: ok if you want to go on live you have to reinstall your original dashboard(the green one).thats were the connection hosts are.to do that go back into the auto installer and restore ms_backup then try to connect,go to troubleshooter then change your IP settings back to auto,make sure DNS is auto too. 2,A- ok second thing i need to know. is how am i supposed to get the mods from my comp. to my xbox. i need step by step instructions please.if u have pictures even better. I KNOW IM SUPPOSED TO HAVE LIKE some program but i dont know which. these r the programs i have i think they all do the same thing but here you go.: ppf-omatic,flash xp,core ftp, smart ftp. I HAVE A LOT MORE BUT THOSE ARE THE ONLY ONES I THINK I AM SUPPOSED TO USE FOR TRANSFERRING MODS TO XBOX I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PUT THE MODS ON THE PROGRAM THAT MAKES MODS GO TO THE XBOX. LIKE EXACTLY HOW. PLEASE. please help 2,B- out of all the tutorials that tried to explain to me the answer to question number 2 they almost all said that i have to have my xbox and comp. linked up or in the same router. it was something like that. u see i dont know if mine is linked up. i dont even know if i need to link them up. So this is how i used to be able to get the internet when i had the old originall ms dashboard. ALL THE TUTORIALS SAY THAT U NEED TO SOMEHOW LINK UP UR XBOX AND COMP. HOW DO I DO THAT HOW DO I LINK THEM UP.[bold]details[/bold] i had one of those wireless internet things that go wirelesly to the two boxes that i have in another room.i think the one the boxes recieves all the wireless stuff and then sends it to the other box right by it which sends it too the internet. i know their the thing that my computer goes to too get to the internet. Well since you spent so much time typing all that I think I'm going to help you out. First off i suggest you restore the Microsoft Dashboard or in other words Restore MS Backup. Then go into Network Settings on the Microsoft Dashboard and change IP address from manuel to automatic. Then you should find a nice Linux file to soft mod your Xbox with. You can go here: http://softmodding101.moonfruit.com/ for them and some good tutorials. To get mods from your computer to your Xbox you need to FTP to your Xbox. FTP stands for file transfer protocol. This means that you directly connect your Xbox and computer together and you can send files back and forth. That website has tutorials. The only programs you need are Flash FXP, DotHalo, and Map Resigner. For ftping to your Xbox your Xbox needs to be directly connected to your computer using a crossover cable or indirectly through a router or hub. The way your Network is set up is you have your Cable/DSL modem connected to a wireless router which your computers and Xbox are connected to. There are some good mods here: http://www.ppfnoobs.tk .
