Yesterday I uninstalled Nero 6.(?) and totally cleared my registry of all files that said AHEAD or Nero. Infact, I totally removed all such references from my computer, not just my registry. I installed my NEW copy of Nero 7 that I bought on BF. Showtime works fine, but when I try to set up burning rom for a project, it says drive in use by another application. I tried to run Info Tools and BOTH my dvd drives are LOCKED. I updated my aspi files and even closed all my virus, trojan, worm, firewall programs, but I still get the same errors. I am running Win98SE Sony dvd rw DRU-500A NEC DVD_RW ND-3500AG HHHHEEEELLLLLPPPP SOLVED... Even though INCD was "X-ed" out when I installed adn I knew it would be incompatible with win98, apparently, something from incd was installed anyway. On the off chance, I d/l'd Incd clean and ran it. THERE was stuff on my systrem from Incd, cos it all seems to be working now. Now I'm curious as to WHY it put Incd stuff on my computer when I "x-ed" it out????????
I see you got it working. I was going to tell you to go into services and turn imapi to manual or disable. Incd clean tool did it for you.
