HELP with putting multiple movies onto one disk

I have several movies that are 700mb and i wanted to put them onto a dvd. But when i select the first file and put it onto the nero movie creator it says that its size is 4.2gb.

Does anyone know why this is? Is it something to do with the coding of it and is there any way of getting round this?

Its a dvd rip to divx apparently.

Any ideas?

 

see if you can run a file through avicodec and post the results please
