I just installed nero 7 from the cd, I wanted to update but the updater in the menu wouldn't open anything (I have a dialup connection so that probably had something to do with it) Anyway I downloaded the update from their website (the 101 mb file titled nero 7.0.1.2_eng_yt) off of a high speed connection and then dragged it to my computer. I ran through this install but it was like as if it was a completely new install- not just simply updating components and it was titled demo in places. It worked successfully so is this an ok way to update? It just kind of threw me off with the whole installer. Did I do it alright? Sorry if these are simple questions I just wanted to ask to make sure. Is there anywhere to check what version I have in my computer? thanks a lot
That should be OK. To check on your version, just click on Nero StartSmart, click on either Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express and "About Nero Burning Rom" it will display the version.
