I just started using Nero, I have Express 7.0. Back when I used Adaptec easy CD, there was an option to format a CDRW for drag and drop functionality. Basically it would act like a mini hard drive, you can drag and drop files to and from the CDRW and the burner would write/rewrite the data accordingly. I cannot seem to find any way to do this with Nero, can anyone help?
I have 6.6 but I'm sure it's pretty much the same as v7. That's what the InCD program is for in Nero, if you already installed InCD then open up StartSmart and go into Data. Then click on Format/Prepare Rewriteable CD. I have always (I think) used full format option, after this it will work just like Roxio's.
You should be warned that data stored on a dvd or cd which has been placed there by INCD is not away readable on other machines. I would test this out to see it this is still truth. Make a cd or DVD or some data using INCD and see if other computers can read the data. It is no use doing it on the same computer because it has the software to read and write these types of files. One person in another forum even stated that one version to another of INCD is not compatiable, I can not confirm this statement. So check it out before it is too painful to change.
Thanks for the help. I clicked the typical install when loading Nero, and InCD is not part of the typical install. A few clicks of a mouse later, and I now have InCD on my system.
