Okay, recentally I have been backing up dvds and I soon plan to backup my PS2 games. As far as DVD's go I started using -rs and then was told to switch to +R by a friend.. He claimed that these produce a better quality. I Have been looking through a few threads and can't seem to find anything that states this.

After researching info on PS2 backups It looks like DVD-R needs to be used. I am just wondering if burning Movies on -R instead of +R will affect the quality, or is my friend just full of BS..

I also realize the media you buy plays a major role in it. I am currently using Memorex's which I made a mistake in buying I guess and i soon plan on investing in some Verbatims. Thanks for any and all feedback.

I think your quote about your friend being full of BS is correct. You will not notice any difference in quality. Some players work with only the +R format, some with the-R format and some will accept both. Memorex is the least favoured media gere at AD, it is NOT recommended as there are too many failures using Memorex, try Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim

    Thanks Gwendolin.
So the ONLY difference between -/+ would be the players that can play it.
