program asks for cd1 after install

backed up my Age Of Mythology cd's with alcohol 120%. Install went fine, but it keeps asking me to insert cd1. I burned cd1 and used it to install game. any thoughts.I can still use my purchased cd's, but like to have working back-ups too.

 

It must be copy protected (like most games). Use ClonyXXL to find the method of copy protection then reportt it here.

thanks for the reply. I downloaded Clonyxxl, it's in german and i'm having trouble navigating it.

 

There is a switch to English. Trigger it. Have faith.
BTW, CD1 of AoM is Safedisc 2.7 protected.

Since you installed it, you can grab a no-CD patch. This should fix everything.

What is the brand name of your burner? It may be possible you need "additional measures" to play your backup (hide cd-r). A newer version of ClonyXXL was released today.
