I'm just curious. Of course, I came to read this forum because of problems I am having, as it seems others are too, but has anyone had GOOD results installing and burning Nero7?

I've had the Demo version of Nero 7 for a week now, when I first installed it it wouldn't burn at all in Nero recode 2, so I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it and updated the ASPI layers and it has run fine ever since. My only complaint now is the program suite tries to do way too much in terms of music, video, still images and data, I think that I'm going to go back to CloneDVD2 and Nero 6.0 when the trial runs out. I could never learn all of the tools and programs in this monster.

I've got Nero 7 Premium and so far, all of my backups are successfully burned whithout any errors and or coasters whatsoever. I've been using Nero 7 (mainly Nero Recode 2, Nero Burning Rom, Nero Express, Nero Vision 4 and Nero ShowTime to watch movie since October 27, 2005 without any issues at all. I don't want to jinx myself, but so far I'm happy at the moment.

Well, at least we are hearing some good news. I've been a Nero fan for quite some time, but I'm still waiting it out before considering upgrading.............

i've been using nero 7 premium for about a month now. i've had no coasters or bad burns. i think the burning rom part of the program is fine. i have had trouble with some of the other features including the disc/drive speed and the tv part (which i was excited about). i'd wait to buy it if i had to do it again though. hopefully we'll see some fixes soon.

well, MY first two burns were flawless, but the next day, I went to open burning rom and it gave me a page fault error. I've been uninstalling everything and TRYING to re-install ever since.

    hey...FAR is FAR...lol

I, Too, have been a Nero fan for sevaral years, and I am extremely disappointed with this version. Why should people have to wait for fixes to come out before their BRAND NEW SOFTWARE will work (much less load)?
(ver7 Premium was giving me probs too...., that's why I rushed out and bought Ultra. I figiured the legit copy would work. BOY, was I wrong...)

Is AHEAD turning into MICROCRAP Rushing and putting out unfinished, untested product to meet a self-imposed deadline?

Stick w/ 6.6 - I had to reinstall 6.6 after buying 7 - I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now. But save you money on 7 until they work out some problems.

I installed Nero 7 and had nothing but problems with it, uninstalling was a nightmare, finally I used system restore and the Nero Driver Clean and Registry Tool and reinstalled Nero V6 which has always worked like a charm.

Nero obviously haven't heard of the old saying 'If it ain't broke don't fix it'.

Until Nero figure out all the problems with V7 I personally wouldn't recommend for anyone to install it.
