Your Nero is out of date, current version is 6.6.0.18. YOur DMA is off, but that doesn't look like a drive, here is how you can turn it on though: http://www.burstcopy.com/dma/xp/ You shouldn't be multi-tasking while you burn, shut off all aps via task manager. YOu are burning too close to the edge, burn no further than 4300MB. YOur burner isn't recognizing your media, this should be a 3 line paragraph. What media are you using? Your f/w is up to date, I think. It is if your drive is a rebadged BenQ. This is definitly your biggest problem (I shouldn't say that, your other probs pretty big too). YOu have NEro's INCD packet writing software installed. Here is how you can fix it. Go to Nero, DL Nero cleantool to completly rid your system of all Nero. Then reinstall Nero, this time choosing to not install INCD. Just removing it from control panel won't work.
I was using Philips DVD+R's which worked pretty good.Then I ran out and got some Maxell DVD+R's,didn't work also tried the Fuji Film DVD +R's, same result.Should I down try down loading the Drivers for the writer?It has no name on the front it but is a BenQ 1620 is what is on the invoice.In the process of updating Nero then clean it and retry it with INCD as suggested.We let you how I made out.
I know it's a Benq, 1620. But according to the rpc site your firmware is upto date. You could try updating drivers but media recognition is usually the firmware's job.

You aren't using very good media, try something like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. SOny and Fuji are fine so long as they are Made in Japan. And when you do get the better media try 4x, then 2x if that fails too. You are still burning too close to the edge. 4300 remember.
