i have just found out that the security lock on my xbox is enabled. i can still play games off the HD but i can no longer save or delete games. all i know is that one of my mates hooked it up to his computer and since then i can not add or erase games. i have a 120gb HD and use evox, i'm not sure about all the other stuff, but if someone can help with my problem it would be appreaciated. i would be able to find out additional information from the system settings if it will help in the unlocking process.
You should be able to go to system settings and be able to unlock it from there,depending on what version of evox you are running and how it is configured . Im not sure though if you need to lock it or unlock it. Gimme some time to do a quick search on that.
on the home screen it has evox: +3921 so i presume that is the version of evox that is on my console. i bought the console already configured so i don't know much about this sort of stuff. i have been into settings but it will not allow me to switch off the lock.
i cannot access anything in the hard drive settings part, but above that i can change the numbers,for example the IP, subnetmask, defaultgateway, or DNS numbers, if thats any help? is that what you are talking about? if there is a certain sequence of numbers that can be typed in, thats no worries.
