I just received a shipment of Taiyo Yuden dvd-r 4x disc but they won't copy. These have a tyg03 I.D.. I put my tyg02 dvd-r in and they work fine. I have a Sony dvd +/-rw dw-d22a RW drive. Below is what disc identifier shows.

Any ideas why the tyg03's wont work?

    Thanks

Your burner may need a firmware upgrade to read this media. Visit the last link in my signature and check your burner for the latest firmware version.

If you post the burner model and firmware version I will be happy to help.

    Cheers.

    Hi,
Thanks for your assistance. My Drive = SONY DVD RW DW-D22A [FW BFS1].

I think the BFS1 is the firmware. If not I don't know how to find it. I got the info from dvd identifier.

    Any help would be appreciated.

use dvd decrypter to find out whether you need a firmware upgrade

    tools/drive/check for firmware updates

it will link your drive straight to the page you require(same link as above),but only flash your drive with official firmware
