I did a Nero back up of my laptops hdd a few months ago, unfortunately i no longer have this laptop, and i would like to recover some of the things i had stored on my laptop from the backup disks, unfortunately when i go to use the restore wizard it says i need a .nbi file which i cannot find on the disks, is there anyway to recover files from these disks without it, or is there anyway i can just access the disks to see what files i need ?

maybe you can search for a program on the net or find where the nbi file is supposed to be put...

This peaked my interest so I did some searching myself.

I found that it is an id file and should be on the last disk in the backup set.

In nero 7 which is what I use, it no longer is nbi file is now just nb file but still an id file that will be needed.
