    try running CCleaner and a spyware program and install a good firewall

    I'm not suprised it happened, I mean it was only a matter of time...I'm just suprised I didnt notice it sooner. you certainly deserve it :)

    Yea I figured. Seems like he just needs a decent pop-up blocker and a few spyware tools.

    popup blockers really dont help its the spyware that causes most of it , your best bet is a good firwall

    And if look2me is behind those pop ups, none of those programs will help :) It requires ewido and/or special fix. But you can first of course try those that ddp suggested. If problem is not fixed, then post here a HiJackThis-log, instructions here ->http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/263784 (steps 3 and 4)

    while on internet keep getting my search page cannot remove and have to shutdown internet.

    thought it had but it hasnt what can i do?

    the pop up is called my search page i have to shut the internet down to remove it. But then only get another 5 - 10 mins beforew it re-appears.

    Send a HijackThis-log, instructions -> http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/263784 (steps 3 and 4).
    It's very probable that I can see in this log what's behind those popups. HijackThis-log shows eg. what programs start when windows starts etc.
