You have already entered more than 5 codes before trying the code I gave you. Your phone is hardlocked to the original network and will require being unlocked with a DCT 4 clip to use with any other network besides T-Mobile.
you are right. But what is DCT4 clip and is that something I have to do in a local store (if so where). I really appreciate any attention in this matter. Did I messup the phone? Do I have to contact T-moble? Mab21
You didn't mess the phone up, it's just hardlocked to that one network. T-Mobile won't unlock the phone for you because it requires hardware which would be the DCT 4 clip. You'll need to call around to a local privately owned electronics repair shop and ask if they can unlock a DCT 4 hardlocked phone. They will know what you're talking about. Cable and software also will not unlock the phone. The clip is a direct connection to the phone and can unlock it in less than a minute. The cost of unlocking with the clip can vary but you would be paying anywhere from $15.00 to $40.00 depending on the person that does it.
