My DVR-R burning with my lap top as been up and down, but I haven't had CD-R failures until now. After successfully burning burning 3 CD-Rs today, I had back to back coasters. I use Windows XP. I didn't do anything different between the 3rd (successful) and 4th (failure) burn attempt. from what i see of your logs, they look ok maybe someone with a better eye will see the prob i will say i also use taiyo yuden cd-r's and never had a prob with them but i never burn over 16x your burning at 48x try slowing it down and see if that helps peace
yer, i'm the same. for data cd's i never go above 24x and for audio 16x is my limit. - that's not good, you gotta free up a load more memory prior to ALL dvd work/burning - the ATAPI drivers are supposed to be listed in this section, fix via this http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm
Well it tells me: Windows NT/2000/XP Users Right click on [My Computer] and select [Properties] from the menu. Click [Device Manager] on the [Hardware] tab, then click to open the [IDE ATA/ATAPI (hard disk) controllers] section. You will find: the Primary IDE Channel controller, Secondary IDE Channel controller, and a brand name controller, e.g. Intel, SIS, VIA, etc. The brand name controller is what needs to be updated. Please visit their website to obtain these updates. What I have (in my device manager) is an Ali M5229 Bus Master IDE Controller. I went to http://www.ali.com.tw/eng/products/product_list.php And it doesn't even list that number (5229). I'm not sure what to do, their website isn't the most helpful.
all you need to do is delete them, then reboot, and Windows will redetect them and auto-install the drivers
