hello all, i am new to these boards. i was hoping someone could shed some light on this subject for me. i just traded away my 6x cd-r...to buy a lite-on 40x12x48 cdrw (also bought the lite-on 16x dvd). my #1 question is, if i am using this drive as media back-up (word docs, pics, video, etc), can i use cd-rs for this? i mean, can i leave a cd-r open, and add to it later? or is it that once you burn it, that's it for the entire cd? #2 now cdrw, do they naturally have the ability to delete and change existing info on them, or do i need to format them somehow to do this? in other words, can i put a word document on a cdrw, and after i change it on the computer, change it on the cdrw, or do i have to do something special? thanks!
