Hi can any1 help me, me got my x box chiped, and have tryed burning several dvd r using nero 7 and it does work on my x box but half way through the game or just randomly comes up with the error message dirty disc or damaged.

I just dont get it, what could it be, I tryed using the same dvd r disc brand on my mates computer to burn a game and put it in my xbox and it worked totally fine he used nero 6 to burn it.

Could it really be just down to the diff versions of nero or could it be anything else.

Make sure you are using good quility media.

Just because you burned the game on your friends computer and it worked dosent mean the Media is good media.

    Bad media = unstable media.

you can have some of the batch of DVD's good and some that are not.

Always burn no faster then 4x so if your burrning at top speed slow it down. Faster you burn the more chance you will get read errors.

try using DVD Decrypter to burn the ISO of the game.

MODE/ISO/WRITE and choose the ISO as the source disc.

But again it could be that your using cheap media.

You said the Backup that you burned worked but froze half way threw. More then likly your having DRE(data read error) problems and most of the time thats due to cheap media.

If you have cheap media you can get some that burn perfect and some that dosent burn perfect. You need more reliable media.

Your asking for my opion and im giving it to you. most of the time DRE problems are due to cheap media.

Maybe the DVD your friend used was a good DVD in the Batch and burned correctly.

What is the DVD Media ID on the blank media.

If you dont have a program to find it then download (VSO Inspector) and it will tell you what Media ID it is then go to the site below and check to see if it is good media or not.
