done as you suggested scouser. can't open the file though..not much of a tech head. any suggeions?
Its wrapped you need winrar or similar application to unwrap it. You will also find winrar in Eamos, think its in the Starview folder.

Hey, I followed all the instructions for updating the bl*ck box and I now only have 51 channels. I have do a complete powerscan at least five times.... anyone any ideas. I have read through numerous threads and no one has the same problem

when you say bl*ck box you mean black max v 2008 yeah ... what provider and area are you ???

Yeah thats the one. N*L, Dublin. I put the latest update on and power scan on 6.885. Only pickin up 291.020, 299.020, 307.020, 315.020 and 323.020...

right do a power scan start 290.000 and finish at 403.000 and the symbol rate is 6887 not 6885 it should pick up 138 channels first it should pick up 13 transponders

are you sure you have all the cables in right cos thats the right scan to do make sure you have tv cable going into rf in and then cable from loop out to the tv and scart from box to tv and turn on signal booster in tv settings and save make sure your pipe is working ok and has a strong signal you could try it somewhere else in your house to see if it works .. what firmware you using ?

I have UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_18_04_08.exe and
UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_28_04_08_T.exe on my laptop, I can't remember which one I ran.
I dont see Signal booster in Tv settings
Only V Mode,, TV Aspect Ratio, Video Output, Screen Mode, SPDIF Output, UHF Mode and UHF Channel
Am I missing something there, cheers the help by the way

He put the 28/04/08 firmware on, should have used the 18/04/08 version. It should stilll be OK, but to fix the TP problem he needs to do a factory reset and scan again.

Hi,
I think I am close to being able to flash my eurovox max blue clone ( black box with silver panel)
I have the following:
1. Null Cable
2. EVMAX_BLUE_160408_CORE_140207
All I'm missing is the .exe file
Should I use Euromaxloader.exe or some other?

I have yet to download the latest firmware to the eurovox max v 2008. just noticed that there are 2 versions of kuro one from 18.04.08 and one from the 28.04.08. Which one shud i use? cheers

If you are NOT having any signal problems, then use the 18/04/08 it is fine - the 28/04.08 is mainly to address the 8 per cent signal problem, see scOuser's post above and the post a little higher.

Yes for the clone use the loader, although you should have this in the RAR file. There is also a readme with it. If you need the whole pack you will find it in Eamos FTA Library.

Afraid not or it must be elsewhere. The dummy guide for updating eurovox clones is missing. :)
I unzipped EVMAX_BLUE_160408_CORE_140207.rar and the only file is EVMAX_BLUE_160408_CORE_140207.
I'm glad I asked the question though otherwise I'd have use the Kuro .exe

Sorry you are correct I mixed it up with the Black one. Just use Dnupman, you will find this in Eamos also in the Eurovox software folder. Before flashing upload a CDF from your box to PC using Dnupman. You will need this to download back to your EV after flash.
Now using Dnupman and the bin file, flash the EV. Then do a factory reset and download CDF back on. Put it on Sly Sports to update.
Note I only recommend using Dnupman for clone boxes.

Hi, I have the Eurovox MAX 5 Black box.
When I try to load the latest firmware for the Max 5 Black box I get the following message: "Firmware is not fit for your receiver" I have tried everything since my box stopped working in April and I think now that the problem is that I origionally used dnupman software to Flash the box. Can you advise?

Looks like you are using the wrong firmware. Are you using the latest for a Max V, if so it looks like you in fact have a blue or red version.

Hi all, somehow managed to voluteer to update a mates box but have only experience of St*rview, never done a eur*vox. I've looked through previous posts and am satisified that this box is a Genuine Eur*vox. It's black in colour, and has Euro-Vox Max on the front panel. Could someone point me in the direction of which firmware I need.
