I just did the Nero 7 Ultra Edition Update version: 7.0.1.4. Now I think everything works except Nero Vision. When I click on the link in the Nero Start Smart or from the start>programs>nero7 folder I get this message. "[bold]Unable to initialize disc recording subsystem. Please check your installation[/bold]". Now I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Nero 7 and I still get the same message.

Can anyone help me please? I'm pulling my hair out with this one. Tried everything and no go.

    Thanks

    Tim

I think thats refering to drivers. Post your log without sn# so we can see if it has clues to what ones.

Subsystem could be windows drivers build in. Could also be layer drivers like pcoufin, gear, and others.

The only subsystem driver I know that it uses from windows is RDBSS (redericted drivebuffering sub system).

I am having the same problem. I contacted Nero technical support as well, in the (unlikely?) event they can help.

I solved the problem myself by uninstalling 7.0.14, deleting the directories created by Nero: Nero under Program Files and Ahead under Program Files/Common Applications and installing 7.0.12.
I am awaiting an answer from Nero and hope that they will release working software in the future.
