Hey guys I usually don't post questions, because these forums have all the answers you need. But I cannot for the life of me find a resolution to my problem, so maybe someone can help. I installed a SpiderChip v1.1 into my Xbox v1.6b, and I also installed the on/off switch that came with the chip. When I boot the xbox with the switch off, my xbox works like it should. But when I boot the xbox with the chip enabled, all I get is a black screen and nothing else. I don't get the frag lights or anything, it seems to boot the right way as far as the open button light is concerned. I just don't know where to go from here, because since my screen is black I can't flash the bios via a disc. I also did purchase the usb programmer that the chip offered, so maybe I will have to resort to using that. Any responses to this problem would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
Just had a similar problem with an X3 and a 1.6b. Turned out it was the stock flash bios wasn't compatible with a 1.6b so I was getting no video. So what I did was put it onto a 1.4 and flashed it on that machine....then re-installed it onto the 1.6b with a bios that it can use. Problem was now fixed.
