By knowing the operating system, i.e. windows 98 etc. It will tell us if it is in fact a fat32/ntfs file system. Cheers.
oh ok i understand now its xp lol and also dont now if this helps but when i open disk defragmenter ir says my hd is NTFS
That's good. Size should not be the issue then. Next, what version firmware for your external. Check here to see if your burner is current: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces You can see the version if you open DVDDecrypter in Mode ISO write it will show the burner and firmware version in the upper right side.
sorry but could you be a bit more specific i get easily confused lol thanks for the help i understand the dvd decrypter bit but what are you saying about firmware? dont now if this matters or not but you know on dvd decrypter where it says this [1:0:0] my external says this [0:0:0]
Firmware is the software that runs the DVDburner. I was asking you what DVDburner model you had and the version of firmware that it is using. If you open DVDdecrypter and go to mode ISO write it will show you your burner specs in the right upper pane of the DVDdecrypter window. It will say something like this: LG GSA 4163B A105 Cheers.
you can use decrypter to check to see if your firmware is up to date TOOLS>RIVE>CHECK FOR FIRMWARE UPDATES this will link up a site with your burner listed.. but only use official firmware what free space have you got left on the hardrive?
a lot of people that are using nero 7 are having problems backing up their movies you might try an earlyer version of nero
