go to settings-then network-change type to static make your ip as follows
ip=192.168.0.3
subnet=255.255.255.0
gateway=162.168.0.1
dns 1=162.168.0.1
dns 2=192.168.0.7
ftp server
enable-yes
user-xbox
pass-xbox
port-21

get FlashFXP install it
open it up go to site manager and click add new site
and put
ip adress as 192.168.0.3
and username and passwordas xbox alright your connected.

WAY TOO COMPLICATED! The easiest ftp program i have used is smart FTP. http://smartftp.com/ you look near top right (once installed and running) there is a connect info bar. Now go boot up your box and leave it at the dashboard. Locate your ip and put it in the info bar. You should connect and see your partition hard drives. Make sure your box is setup as if to connect to xbox live or you will not see your IP. While transfering files xbox must be in the dashboard.

your crazy FlashFXP is the best and easiest way to ftp.
i have smart and cute on my comp to just for the hell of it but i dont even use them.

K in unleashx go to system->settings and network then change them to DHCP
U can now ftp and play xbl, kai, or xbc without changing your settings.
