Does anyone have any experience with this machine? It's a Circuit City cheapie made by liteon. The reviews on the Circuit City site aren't too bad but I can't find much else about it anywhere else. I'm looking for a cheap way to get my Tivo'd stuff off it's hard drive. I don't care for bells and whistles, just cheap and pretty good. If anyone has experience with this thing, media recommendations? If it does suck, any good suggestions under $150?

    thanks,

    RC

My LiteOn really likes Verbatim +R discs .. It does really well with the made in Taiwan Sony and Maxell discs, also ... Surprisingly, it really dosen't like the Taiyo Yuden (Japanese Fuji and Sony) discs very much ... Verbatim is the best for it

Maybe you can find some more info about it at one of the following LiteOn sites

    http://ccgi.mgillespie.plus.com/liteon/smf/
    http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=102

or at this ilo (another LiteOn clone) site

    as far as a recorder that's under $150 that's good .. I really like my LiteOn LVW5005 (I have 2 of 'em)
