I have a JVC digital video camera mini dv .Can somebody direct me to the section or directions on how to download video to my hard drive then to a dvd using moviemaker in xp ?
You cannot make a DVD with Moviemaker. You will need other, dedicated software for that. But you can get your movie to your hard drive with MovieMaker. You will have to connect your camcorder to your PC with a Firewire cable. Then you can easily select "Capture video" from the menu. (The process is called tranferrring or capturing, not downloading). Also make sure not to use default capture settings.
