How can I reencode a DivX file with a .srt subtitle file to get a DivX with subtitles in it? I believe VDub can do this but the procedure is damn complicated. Are there any other tools which do this in a simpler way?
Can't really think of anything easier. Open avi, add subtitle filter, load subs, config DivX codec and encode. If I wanted to add hard subs though I would use AVISynth rather than VDub filters. Why do you want hard subs? If you just want a .divx file with subs, then you can use divxmux to mux the subs as a seperate xsub stream.
