All my movies that I have are in AVI format. I've converted them to all these different kinds of files and when I burn them, none of them will play. Occasionally some will play on my computer but not my DVD player. Is there any one program that can encode a AVI movie and then burn it for me so it actually works? I'm not exactly sure what kind of file the AVI is supposed to be converted to so that it plays on a DVD player. If anyone can help I appreciate it.
Hi there, I use VSO DivxToDVD to convert all my internet movies to DVD. I burn using the [bold]built in burn engine[/bold], or use CopyToDVD and sometimes use Nero. 1- Make sure you convert to NTSC or PAL depending on where you live. 2- Use quality media (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Maxell [bold]Made In Japan[/bold]) 3- Burn slow, x4.0 MAX 4- If you using different burning software, make sure you burn it as a VideoDVD (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS Directory) & make sure to [bold]finalize[/bold] your disk. Use DVD-R media if trying to play on older DVD player *OR* use DVD+R and check if your burner can booktype them to DVD-ROM. You should have success !
