Do you have Nero, Sonic Recordnow, or Roxio istalled on your PC?

These three software bundles have packet writing applications that can prevent other burn programs from gaining the exclusive access needed to write a disc.
    Nero- InCD
    Sonic- DLA
    Roxio- Drag to Disc

They can be found in windows add/remove programs list in the control panel.

    Hope this helps....

Mr. & Mrs. Smith should NOT be hard to burn/backup at all. First, you need to rip the movie with DVDFAB Decrypter (v 2.9.6.5 - it has been updated today), or you can try to rip it with DVD Decrypter via Mode, File F, into your hard drive first. Then perform your usual encoding or shrinking process with Nero Recode 2 or DVD Shrink and burn it with Nero Burning Rom, Nero Express or any of your desire burning engines.

If you're going with DVD Decrypter, then I highly recommend ripping via Mode, File F -- I've done nearly 99.99% on all of my ripping with DVD Decrypter and so far, it still rips awesomely. Let me know, if you run into any issues with the below settings alright and I'll see what I can do.

*NOTE: in prior to the ripping part, let’s tweak/set a few settings inside DVD Decrypter*

** open up DVD Decrypter, go to Tools, and Settings
    [IMG]

** at General on “Removal Method” arrow down to “Aggressive”

** at I/O, check “Ignore Read Errors”

** at “File Mode” check on all of the Remove, Ignore, Patch and Create MDS file.

** at CSS check “Brute Force -->I/O key exchange,
On Failure: use key from another file [YES]

** at “ISO Read Mode” check on all Remove and Create MDS file
    [IMG]

Once you’re done with the settings, click OK to get out from the settings.

In addition, why don't you post up the very last section from your Nero log? There could be other issues like memory is too low, firmware is behind, media, InCD, Roxio, etc. To get the "very last section" of your Nero log, go here: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory (For Nero 7), or C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory (for Nero 6). Now REMEMBER to EDIT out your Nero serial before you're going to post back here.

Below is an example Nero Log of mine taken from a successfully burned, yours should look identical to mine.
