I've been having all sorts of problems playing back DVD-R disks (created on my PC) on a Panasonic DMR-E30. Please report any sucesses and failures, so we all know which are the best to buy.

CDR-Media.co.uk - Error burning (0/5)
ZeroDefex 1x - Good (1/1)
ZeroDefex 2x - Error Burning (0/1)
ParadoX 1x - Only playback 2 chapters
Maxell 2x - Good (1/1)
TraxData 1x - Playback problems (2/8)
FWS 4x - Some Good (4/6)
BulkPaq 2x lot 1 - Most good (22/25)
BulkPaq 2x lot 2 - All failed (0/5)
Monarch 1x - Only 1 plays well (1/6)

These are all fairly cheap DVDs. I think I'm going to have to but some good stuff, but which ?

I've used White Label 1x and also Mirror Silvers with 100% success with the E30. I also have a Mirror DVD writer on my computer and this has been 100% successful with the above discs. They have also played back 100% on other standalone players.

The only problems I had were with backing up Xbox games on the silvers - the xbox doesn't like them but white labels are OK.

I am paying about 80 pence (UK) a disc for them.

I am also told that Datawrite Yellows are good but I havn't tied these yet.

Stay away from Bulkpaq they are no good for the E30
