I recently picked up a new HDD and used the Upgrade Wizard that is in the current Xenium Ice firmware. It copied all of the partions (including G), but it did not copy the F drive. I tried using the copy partition function, and it just sits on the "Formatting Destination Partition... Do not turn off your Xbox". I know it takes a while when there is a lot of data on the disc, but it has been running now for over 24 hours. Both HDs are still running, and I can hear what sounds like writing. The G partition has almost the same amount of data (roughly 40 Gig), and it only took a good 4-5 hours. I tested the copy partition function first with the x and z drives and they worked great. I am afraid to turn off the Xbox and lose all of the progress, but heck, if I knew it was gonna take this long, I would have just copied to my laptop and then put it back on the new drive via FTP. Any ideas? I am gonna let it continue to run for another few hours.
Ok, well... I am glad that I gave it another couple of hours. I don't know if the processor on the chip is slow or what, but it FINALLY said it was successful. I guess if you can hear the drive writing, it is still doing its job. So... Thank you Xenium for saving me a buttload of work. Maybe I expected a format notice and then a copying notice. Maybe I expect too much. ahh well. Hope my headache keeps someone else's head from hurting
