I am using a lite-one multi-format burner along with DVD shrink and Nero. The disks are Memorex DVD-R. The set top player is a Deawoo VHS-DVD combo that is a few years old. (It was given to me by someone who said they couldn't get it to work. It has always worked fine for me and says DVD-R above the disk tray. I am using single layer disks. When inserted in the Deawoo it makes load noises acts very oddly and sooner or later says bad disk. What am I doing wrong, or what could I be doing to make it work.

Download the following program and read your Memorex Disc to get the code that tells who made it. http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ Then read this and see where it falls on the food chain: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm Memorex, usually manufactured by CMC Magnetic, are infamous for being Crap! Check it out. Then try using better discs. It may solve your problem…..
