I am using a lite-one multi-format burner along with DVD shrink and Nero. The disks are Memorex DVD-R. The set top player is a Deawoo VHS-DVD combo that is a few years old. (It was given to me by someone who said they couldn't get it to work. It has always worked fine for me and says DVD-R above the disk tray.

I am using single layer disks. When inserted in the Deawoo it makes load noises acts very oddly and sooner or later says bad disk.

What am I doing wrong, or what could I be doing to make it work.

    Therein may lye the problem.
Download the following program and read your Memorex Disc to get the code that tells who made it.

Then read this and see where it falls on the food chain:

Memorex, usually manufactured by CMC Magnetic, are infamous for being Crap!
Check it out. Then try using better discs. It may solve your problem…..
