I just bought a brand new Sony internal Dual Layer DVD+-R burner and it comes with the NERO software. I'm new to this whole DVD burning thing, and it doesn't seem to be as easy as burning CDs, where a direct copy to copy is easy. What else do I need to burn my dvd movies (i.e. make back-up copies of my movies that I have bought)? This would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi ther I dont no if you have had any other replys yet but what I use and has never ever failed me are these two programs
clone dvd + anydvd you need to have anydvd running in the background in order for clone dvd to copy your originals. Yes there are other programs out there where you only need the one program but I have found that with clone dvd you can see exactly whats going on,has a quality bar which is really good to have.any dramas email me on [bold]removed[/bold]

Welcome to AD. Since you already got nero software, for a start I would suggest you download dvd shrink from AD.
For a starter, dvd shrink + nero = good pair.
And of course anydvd is so far the best encry drivers.
Dvd shrink is a freeware and simple to use.
You must have quality dvd media like verbratim, taiyo yuden or maxell that made in japan.

Thanks for your guys' help, but I have another question. Lets say I use DVD Shrink, this software is compatible with Dual Layer discs, dual layer burning, etc? The main reason why I got a Dual Layer DVD Burner was so I wouldn't have to compress the movies. Thanks again.
