Yes, uninstall Easy CD Cre(a)mator and leave and never use it again. Many people here don't endorse Roxio's "junk" because their software messes with ASPI layers, causing conflicts. Don't take me the wrong way friend, just telling you the honest truth. it's DirectCD that mainly causes problems. You can try different burnin' software that is user friendly like BurnAtOnce or Nero Burning Rom.
