Hi i have(actually you could say now "had") Nero 7. I had two versions of it, the Premium and Ultra, and they both would record Audio Cd's, but heres where the problem lies. All my Audio Cd's that i burned with Nero 7 would skip a couple seconds of Audio after like the first 5-7 minutes or so, and it would repeat after 5-7 minutes til the end of the disc. I had even updated Nero 7 to 7.12 and that didnt even fix it. Is there a fix for this s___, and has anyone notified Nero about this. By the way i just thought it was my DVD-RW drive so I tried it on my DVD/CDRW combo drive, same results. So i went to install a different release of Nero 7 on my friends PC, the same thing. Anyone got a clue why this is happening?

What kind of CD-R or CD-RW media did you used to burn? What speed did you burned them? Make sure you burner's firmware is up-to-date with the most current available. In addtion, don't multi-task when burning.

I highly recommend Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or Maxell CD-R media (same thing apply to DVD media). Don't burn them at any higher than 16X. Even I burned all of my music audio at 8X and sometimes at 16X.

Let's have the "very last section" of your Nero 7 logs. To get your last section log, go here: C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Core\NeroHistory -- now REMEMBER to EDIT out your Nero serial before you're going to post back here.

Below is an example from a successfully burned log of mine, yours should look identical to this.

I use Memorex CD-R's and if u want me to give u a Nero 7 log ill have to install Nero 7 since now im using Nero 6.6, i know nero 6 is old, but with the 6.6 update its the best. Yes i do multitask, but i only have BitComet and a VirusScan running in the background with enough avaialble disk space and RAM. Im running a 2.2 GHz AMD 64 3500+ processor on a ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe mobo and 1 GB of RAM. Also i have a 160 GB Hard Disk partitioned into two 80's. BTW i have used these CD-R's(the same Memorex cd's) with Nero 6.6 and they were recorded perfectly. I have even used Windows Media Player and successfully burned an Audio-Cd with it with no seconds skipped, so ill say its not the media nor my drives. Also ive always burned all my Audio Cd's at 32X and they come out perfect, so ill have to say the software is faulty and someone should report it to the company. The Memorex media i use are 52X media CD-R recordable. All of this comes from my experience of burning and recording my CD's. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, and until Ahead/Nero doesnt find i fix for it, I dont think ill be using version 7, although Nero 7 uses a very cool GUI that i like along with a very nice Nero Express interface. I know, ive said too much already, so tell me what u think.

If 6.6.0.18 works perfectly, then more power to you. The reason I'm asking for your Nero 7 log is because your thread started out as "Burning Audio CD with Nero 7" that's all.

I would still recommend slower down on the burning speed though, even if it's a CD-R, at least try to slow down to 24X if you think 16X is too slow for you. I burned all my music cds/audio cds at 16X and I've never had any issues at all.

    Good luck and happy burning!!!

mp3pro.dll file needs replacing with an older version...also dont forget to tick in options to get rid of the 2 sec gap or itll put it in regardless of the explorer window saying otherwise.Btw the cue files also arent compatible ie any done with nero 7 wont load into nero 6.Hope this helps

Yeps It's the mp3pro.dll that's the problem.... Incrideble that Ahead is letting this problem slip through several updates!?? Not OK, Nero used to be the best to burn CD's... I guess they wanna talk and swallow at the same time!! ;o)

The mp3pro.dll file is located here on your harddrive:
    c:\program files\common files\ahead\audioplugins

And here is a link to a working mp3pro.dll file:
    Here 2.0.4.7 ---http://rapidshare.de/files/7528898/mp3PRO.dll.html-----

    Enjoy!
