I just bought anydvd and dvdclone2. But my question is can i just click on nero then smart start then copy dvd. With anydvd running in the background. What one as the better picture?
Hi there, Copying DVD-ROM to DVD-Burner is called Burning On The Fly. Several of us are not big fans of that, but yes it's possible to do. Specialy with AnyDVD in the background. If your going to copy DVD to Dual Layer media, you will get 100% quality. If you are going to burn on Single Layer, you will need to compress it using tools like DVDShrink or Nero Recode. Both are made the same author, so I would expect the same quality. Comments on this anyone ? I hear CloneDVD2 makes a real nice job, but never used it myself.
@Brecken, With AnyDVD running in the background, you got the bull by the tail. You’re able to use any copy program and not worry about the protection on the disc. DvdClone2 is a good program and does a decent job of fitting a DVD-9 on a DVD-5 disc. I personally prefer to use DVDShrink because I feel that I have more control of the end results. AnyDVD will also work with Nero Recode2, which was written by the same author that gave us DVDShrink. Now that you have AnyDVD in your pocket, backing up DVD’s will be an easy task. Just play around with the different programs and decide for yourself which one fits your needs. Always use quality discs and never get in a hurry, that is, burn at least ½ the advertised speed of the disc. If it is a 8x disc, burn at 4x, if it’s 16x burn at 8x or less. So on, so on.. Happy Burning J
