I’ve noticed a number of people having problems with installation of the new Nero 7 version. So I’m wondering, those of you that have been successful, what procedure did you use? Did you completely un-install Nero 6 using Ahead’s removal tools, then install Nero 7, just stick the Nero 7 install disk in and install over Nero 6? And I assume, once installed, you updated to the newest version of Nero 7?

Also, if I set a system restore point (Windows XP Home) before removing Nero 6 and installing Nero 7. If I run into problems, can I just do a system restore and get back to my Nero 6 version? Thanks, Mike

    Here's what I did:

    - Download Nero 7 setup zip directly from Nero's website.
    - Download Nero's General Clean Tool from Nero.
    - Run General Clean Tool to wipe out every Nero products.
    - Reboot system, and re-run General Clean Tool again to clean any left over.
    - Reboot system, now have Windows search for any nero files and delete them all, EXCEPT the new "Nero 7 setup zip file"
    - Now install the new Nero 7 and when it asked for a serial, put in your "legit" serial number, then continue on, but DON'T check/ or DON'T install "InCD" or "Yahoo ToolBar" at any cost period.
    - Once set up is completed, restart your computer. That's it..!!

What about setting up a system restore point...can I get back to a fully functioning version of Nero 6 if Nero 7 isn't stable on my system?
