last question

    okay, i have a star wars movie avi file, its 699 mb and the other is 700mb how do i burn this to work on my dvd player using nero or anything else, media prefered is a dvd+r but you can explain using a cd+r and i am going to get a new dvd player from bestbuy tommorow, which one is the best out there which can play all types? what should i look for? thanks for the needed help :)

    if you want a dvd player that can play your .avi files, try best buy, they have an LG LDA-511, slim player, plays it all, and has HDMI upconversion.
    you can use nero to burn your files either in data format, no encoding needed at all or use NVE3 (if you have version6) or NVE4 (if you have version 7)
    open nero, select dvd, then make your own dvd video, then add your files from you hdd, then make a menu if you choose, then you can do more things, like edit, add titles, etc... and finally, burn, it walks you through it pretty much. burn at 4x or less on good media, ie; verbatim, fuji, ty, maxell, sony (MIJ) and waaalaaa..

    okay, i have version 7 of nero, can you explain step by step how to set up a menu and all that stuff? i am a noob when it comes to this stuff :). thanks!

    hi

    if i am going avi to dvd there is only one combo that i will use

    TFM (the film machine) + CCE (cinema craft encoder)

    no menus...
