I'd like some opinions please. I have used dvd decrypter on many discs and now have 9 vob's, Some are ntsc, pal, 6ch audio, 2ch audio, and different resolutions. I think that because of these differences I have to convert them to mpg (is that right?), I added them into TmpgEnc and it started the process on the 1st file with expected time of 7 hours, times this by 9 vob's = 63 hours? What I want to do eventually is get these 9 vob's (1/2 hr tv episodes B/W) onto 1 dvd with menus to select each episode. Any other methods please?
I use MainConcept MPEG Encoder to encode all the files the same then i use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create my dvd files then burn the files to dvd disk using most any dvd burning program clonedvd 2,nero ect. You can use other dvd authoring software. TMPGEnc DVD Author is very simple to use
I would like you to consider two good programs I have used. Ifo-edit and Vob-edit.They are both freeware and might be available for download at afterdawn.com.please check. Thay are both simple to use and may even have a tutorial available(I forgot where I got these programs from but if i remember i'll get back to you). You dont need to convert vobs to mpg. VObs are already in DVD format so you just have to modify them using these two programs and burn them to one DVD. Hope this helps.
