I attempted to backup my copy of the movie "Matrix" to no avail. I use AnyDVD which has always worked for me and it seems to work with the Matrix but when I go to copy the movie it stops after 53% with an I/O error. BTW, I have been using DVDSHRINK to do all of this. I switched to the REAUTOR to try and copy only the main movie file. When I did this I noticed several files listed under Main Movie, all the same size and each the same file. As I played file they all are the same main movie??? I tried to copy each file and every attempt failed after half way. I then tried to split each file and copy just the first half and then second half but no luck. Each time it would not copy chapter 51 through 99 reporting an I/O error. The disk is like new with no scratches since I take care of my disks. Any ideas??
hi umm? odd one? oldish film too unless its new realease from manfacturers with new type encryptions? but tell me what is the burning app used? if i remeber rightly I/O is not likeing the discs used?????????
I just did this one last week. I did not have a problem. Possibly you have a bad press. Can you exchange it. Try running it through DVDFab decrypter, sometime it will rip a difficult to read disc.
Umm....well I guess I forgot to clean the disk before trying to back it up! I cleaned it and used Nero on it this time with no problem. Sorry for the false posting.
