Hi, I only get this burn error with the bunch of avi's i am trying to burn when i get this error., no problems with any other burning of avi's or anything else. I know this because I have burnt some diffent avi files just now with no problem. Thanks again. Lets start with your version of Nero it is up to 6.6.0.18 http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php that firmware is waaay behind. It is up to A128 now. You may not be able to go directly to the latest firmware, but give it a try. If it doesn't work, try going progressivly up in firmware versions until you get to the latest. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces Same thing for the cd rom drive http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=775 looks like this one is up to 0102 Try the firmware and nero updates. It didn't show the media manufacturer so be sure to use good media, Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony, Maxell. Stay away from Memorex and off brands. Give those things a try and see if it helps. The firmware updates are very important and need to be done.
Your firmware is too old to recognize your disc, do what maxburn says and update it. 1x seems really slow, there is such a thing as being too cautious, 4x might work better.
